BUBBLE GUM

You may remember the sound of Bubblegum Pop strictly between 1967 and 1972, played at many of the larger venues such as The Mecca and Top Rank Ballrooms. However, the trend was set much earlier by girly-pop of the early to mid 60s and followed by the chart hits of the 70s and 80s,

Bubblegum was great pop music that is popular but not recognised as a genre by many.

The Archies, Sugar Sugar was a hypnotic sound, maybe disposable pop.

Try this Show and getting these tunes out of your head! will be a challenge.
